Q&A with a Small-Press Publisher
August 21, 2020 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm UTC-5
Eager to write The Great American Novel but not sure where to begin? Can’t figure out why your query letters never get a response? Need advice about “platform” and why it matters?
Join Jason Gillikin, a 20-year veteran of the journalism and publishing industries, in an open and unstructured conversation about the state of publishing and why it’s so darned hard for aspiring writers to land a contract … or even a response!
This online session (we’ve planned six different times through the end of August 2020) lasts for two hours, but it’s not a lecture. Instead, you’ll submit one or two questions in advance, then Jason will review them and offer some insight, before opening the virtual floor to open conversation and follow-ups.
(Out of respect for each person’s time, we must limit ourselves to subjects of general interest, which means that personal advice about your book cannot be addressed during the Q&A.)
Your refundable ticket, purchased through Eventbrite, includes a URL for the online conversation, and will earn you an email through which you may ask your burning questions.
